In It’s All Gobbledegook, you team up with Amit Thakkar and Lodgok to uncover a secret plan by Ranrok and his Loyalists. Together, you’ll track down and decipher schematics related to a mysterious goblin-made device. Here’s how to crack the code!

Meet Amit at the Astronomy Tower

• Location: Fast travel to the top of the Astronomy Tower.

• Task: Amit can speak Gobbledegook, and you’ll need his help to decipher the schematics. He agrees to join you and Lodgok near the Mine’s Eye.

Head to the Mine’s Eye

• Location: Travel south, just below Keenbridge, to meet Lodgok.

• Conversation: Lodgok reveals that Ranrok is hunting down ancient magical repositories built by Bragbor, his ancestor.

• Mission: You’ll need to read Goblin plans while avoiding detection from enchanted eyes and roaming Loyalists. Lodgok can’t join you due to the risk of being reported.

Infiltrating the Mine

• Disillusionment: Use Disillusionment to sneak past the enchanted eye at the mine entrance.

• Inside the Mine:

  • Elevator: Hit a nearby fireplace with Confringo or Incendio to open the elevator, which will take you deeper into the mine.

  • Accio the Platform: Drag a platform across to the other side to continue.

  • Defeat Loyalists: You’ll encounter Loyalist enemies and another eye door—use Disillusionment again to get past.

Finding the Schematics

• Scroll Locations:

  • One scroll is on a table in the main room.

  • Another is on a table on the first floor.

  • A third scroll is on a barrel near a slope leading into a combat area with a Commander.

  • The final schematic is located near an eye door, after clearing out the enemies in the area.

Collection Chests

• First Chest:

  • Face the western wall and go up the stairs to find a metal grate. Knock it down with your Basic Cast, then crawl through the space to reach the first Collection Chest.

  • This chest contains a Conjuration Recipe.

• Second Chest:

  • After finding the last schematic, ride the lift up.

  • Take the stairs to a locked door. Use Alohomora II to unlock it and claim the second Collection Chest containing another Conjuration Recipe.

  • If you don’t know Alohomora II yet, complete The Man Behind The Moons side quest and return to this chest later.

Exit the Mine and Report Back

• Exit: Once you have all the schematics and Collection Chests, exit the mine and meet Amit outside.

• Conversation with Lodgok: Share the findings about the drill schematics with Lodgok. He warns that Ranrok’s discovery of the repositories could lead to a disastrous war, recalling his history with Miriam, Professor Fig’s wife.
