Finally, the truth about Anne’s curse is finally revealed! And depending on your choices, you’ll either face a reckoning with Sebastian or confide in his oldest friend. This short (but meaningful) cutscene sets the tone for the ending of the main quest…

Speak with Sebastian or Ominis

After completing The Final Repository, this quest triggers automatically. Where you go next depends on a major decision you made earlier in In the Shadow of Fate:

• If you spared Sebastian: Head to the Undercroft to speak with him directly.

• If you turned Sebastian in: Meet Ominis Gaunt, who updates you on what happened after Sebastian was reported to the Headmaster.

Reveal the Truth

Either way, you reveal a key piece of information: Victor Rookwood, not Ranrok, was behind the curse that afflicted Anne. The news hits hard.

• If speaking with Sebastian, he’s shocked and filled with regret over his actions. He begins to reflect on the choices he’s made and what they’ve cost him.

• If speaking with Ominis, he’s equally stunned and encourages you to meet again to discuss Sebastian’s fate and what can be done, if anything.

This moment closes a major chapter in Sebastian’s story and sets up the game’s endings.
