Where to Change How You Look
If you’re hoping to switch up your hairstyle, facial features, or eye colour, you’ll need to visit Madam Snelling’s Tress Emporium in Hogsmeade.
How to Unlock Appearance Changes
You’ll need to unlock Hogsmeade early in the game during the main story quest “Welcome to Hogsmeade.”
Your companion for this trip will be Natsai Onai (Natty) or Sebastian Sallow, depending on your chosen house path.
Once you reach the village, you can find Madam Snelling’s Tress Emporium marked with a scissors icon on the map, near the North Hogsmeade Floo Flame checkpoint.
Once you discover this wonderful shop, you can return anytime to change your look… for a small fee of course.
What You Can and Can’t Change About How You Look
Customisable Features
At Madam Snelling’s Tress Emporium, you can modify:
Hairstyle – Choose from a variety of styles.
Hair Colour – Go natural or pick a bold shade.
Freckles & Moles – Adjust facial markings.
Complexion – Change skin tone and texture.
Scars & Markings – Add or remove scars.
Eye Colour – Swap to a different shade.
Eyebrow Shape & Colour – Customise your brows.
Permanent Choices
Some features cannot be changed after the initial character creation:
Face Shape – Your original choice is permanent.
Body Type & Gender – These cannot be altered.
How Much Does It Cost?
Each visit to Madam Snelling’s shop costs 20 Galleons; so be sure to save up before heading in for a makeover. If you’re low on gold, consider selling unwanted gear at shops around Hogsmeade.
How to Change Your Outfit Appearance with Transmog
Changing your character’s physical appearance is different from customising your outfit. Luckily, Hogwarts Legacy includes a “transmog” system, allowing you to change the look of your gear without affecting its stats.
How to Use the Transmog Feature
Open the Gear Menu in the pause screen.
Select an equipped gear item (such as robes, gloves, hats etc.).
Choose “Change Appearance” at the bottom of the screen.
Select from unlocked styles to customise your look.
This feature lets you keep the best functioning gear without sacrificing fashion.
How to Unlock More Transmog Outfit Styles
Find Legendary Gear in chests and quests.
Purchase outfits from Hogsmeade shops.
Complete challenges to earn cosmetic rewards.
