Each quest line is separate, and offers its own rewards, characters, and side stories. These quests unlock gradually as you progress through the main story..
Can You Do These Quests at Any Time?
Mostly, yes! Once a Relationship Quest becomes available, you can choose when to complete it; meaning there’s no strict deadline. However, many quests are gated by main story progression, meaning you’ll need to advance the main questline or reach a certain level before some Relationship Quests unlock. They’re marked clearly on your map when available, so it’s easy to know when one’s ready.
Are Relationship Quests Required?
Nope. Relationship Quests are entirely optional. You can go through the main story without touching any of them, but you’d be missing out on some of the most emotional, action-packed, and character-rich content the game has to offer. Plus, some quests reward you with powerful spells, unique items, and rare mounts you won’t find elsewhere.
Do Relationship Quests Affect the Ending?
Not directly. Your decisions during these quests—including whether or not to learn Unforgivable Curses, or whether to turn in Sebastian—do not alter the main ending of the game. However, they do impact your relationship with the character involved and change some dialogue and interactions in later parts of the game. Think of them as meaningful side stories that enrich your experience and give your adventure more depth.

Natty needs your help (again). This time, to rescue a kidnapped child in distress. In The Lost Child, you’ll join Natty in Lower Hogsfield to track down young Archie Bickle, who has vanished under sinister circumstances. What follows is a forest chase, a secretive Ashwinder camp, and a daring rescue straight out of a wizarding adventure book.

How to Start
After receiving Natty’s owl post, head to Lower Hogsfield and speak to her near the Floo Flame. She’ll introduce you to Mrs. Bickle, who reveals that her husband was murdered by Theophilus Harlow, and now her son Archie has disappeared. Your only clue? Archie's old forest hideout to the south.

Inside the hideout, pull each of the barrel handles with Accio until they lock into place at the glowing lantern stoppers. This opens a hidden entrance deeper inside.Explore the Hideout & Find Natty:

After the battle, go north and enter the final room to find Natty and Isko Rabe. Speak to Isko, then cast Revelio to reveal a hidden chest. Use Alohomora to unlock it and retrieve his wand. Once he’s free, he’ll also release Natty.Leave the Hideout and Report Back:

Head to the southeastern corner of the Feldcroft region to find Poppy. After a quick conversation, enter the nearby cave to start your journey.

Clear the area of any Dugbogs lurking around.Open the Door with Accio:

Use Lumos and Depulso for Butterflies:
Use Lumos to attract the two jade butterflies to their devices, then cast Depulso to open the gate.

You’ll need to solve a Moonstone puzzle and navigate through the ruins to uncover the secrets of the Gilded Perch.

How to Start
Travel south of Brocburrow to meet Poppy at the ruins. After a brief conversation, you’ll head inside to meet Darren and begin solving the Moonstone puzzle.
Quest Steps
Solve the Moonstone Puzzle:
Move the sun statue towards the door and adjust it slightly to the right.
Pull the green moon statue towards Darren so that both statues shine their light on the Moonstone and the sigils behind them. This will open the door to proceed.
Enter The Gilded Perch:
Head into the newly opened area and continue through the ruins.
Find the Collection Chest:
Enter the next room, head north, and take the stairs down.
Use Accio to pull a box to the base of the ledge, then cast Levioso to make it hover.
Climb up the ledge and follow the walkway to the end where you'll find the Collection Chest next to stacks of hay.
Clear the Branches:
Use Diffindo or Confringo to clear the branches blocking your path.
Move towards a brown box on the left, then turn left again to find a metal cube on a shelf.
Use Accio to move it to a fiery metal circle on the ground.
Move the Crates:
Cast Wingardium Leviosa to move the crates to the right side of the room, raising them to access the second level.
At the top, place the purple-glowing metal cube on the icy circle and cast Glacius. Use Incendio or Confringo on the fiery circle to open the path forward.
Fight and Finish:
Enter the courtyard and defeat the enemies there.
Open the door on the far side to complete the quest.

Ominis will reveal his doubts about the dark arts, and you can respond with:
"Aren’t you curious about what’s inside?"
"I understand your caution."
Convince Ominis to Proceed:
Ominis will be reluctant, stating the risks, but your character can convince him to continue. Once the conversation ends, you’ll need to solve a puzzle to open the door.
Light the Three Torches:
To proceed, light all three torches in the dungeon to unlock the door.
Fix the Art Piece with Reparo:
Upon reaching the bottom, use Reparo to fix a broken art piece. Afterward, talk to Ominis, who will hear a voice and offer to open the door.
Solve the Puzzle:
You’ll be presented with a puzzle to open the first door. Place the circle-like object on top and the snake on the bottom.
Open Another Gate:
Continue by solving another puzzle near a broken gate. The top piece should be a helmet-like object, and the bottom piece should be the tile with a Z shape.
Solve the Final Puzzle:
For the final gate, place the O-shaped piece with two branching lines on the top and the triangle-like shape on the bottom to open the door.
Pick Up the Journal:
Inside, you’ll find a journal on the floor. Picking it up will trigger a conversation with Ominis and a new challenge.
Decide Whether to Learn the Cruciatus Curse:
Sebastian will suggest that Ominis use the Cruciatus Curse to open the final door. You can respond with:
"I’d rather you ask him."
"I’ll ask him."
Cast the Cruciatus Curse:
If you agree to learn the curse, you’ll have the option to choose between:
"I don’t want to learn the Cruciatus Curse."
"I want to learn Cruciatus Curse. But you must cast it on me."
"Teach me the Cruciatus Curse, and I’ll cast it on you."
Open the Door:
After casting or agreeing to cast Cruciatus, the door will open, and you’ll be able to proceed.
Pick Up the Book:
Inside the room, pick up the book from the center. After this, hand it over to Sebastian to continue the conversation.
Talk to Ominis:
As the quest nears its end, speak to Ominis one last time. Once he finishes speaking, the quest will be complete.

You’ll accompany him into the ominous Feldcroft Catacomb in search of a mysterious relic that could cure his sister, Anne. This quest is available after completing In The Shadow of Discovery.

How to Start
Meet Sebastian Sallow in the Feldcroft Region to begin the quest.
Quest Objectives
Speak to Sebastian in Feldcroft
He believes the relic might be hidden in a nearby catacomb. Choose:
"Let's explore the catacomb." to proceed.
Optional: Ask about the student’s report for extra background lore.
Explore the Catacomb
Enter the Feldcroft Catacomb. Follow the main path until you reach a large room filled with spiders. Defeat them all.
Find Collection Chests
Collection Chest #1:
In the first spider room, move the nearby box (south side of room) to the ledge in the northwest using Accio and Levioso. Climb up to find the chest.
Collection Chest #2:
Break the rocks blocking a hidden tunnel to the north, use Lumos to repel Devil’s Snare, pull bones using Accio, and rebuild a bone bridge to cross and reach a chest near the barred door.
Pick Up the Student Journal
Near the altar, collect the Student Journal and talk to Sebastian.
Split Up to Explore
Choose:
"I'll get started." to proceed.
Optional: Ask about the diary’s origin for lore.
Solve the Bone Puzzle
Use Accio and Wingardium Leviosa to move bones to the blocked path and build another bone bridge.
Learn (or Decline) the Imperius Curse (Imperio)
Sebastian offers to teach you Imperio.
Accept: "Yes, I'd like to learn the Imperius Curse."
Decline: "I'd prefer not to learn the Imperius Curse."
Dialogue choices also let you ask how he learned it and what it does.
Battle More Spiders
After the Imperio offer, proceed and defeat more spiders in a forked path. One path leads to a legendary chest, the other to a puzzle room.
Solve Final Bone Puzzle
Use the bones to unlock the next room. Defeat more spiders, then collect The Relic’s Note on the table.
Confrontation with Ominis
As you leave, Ominis blocks the path. He argues with Sebastian about taking the relic.
Respond to Ominis with:
"Very well. Let's talk with Sebastian."
"I cannot side with you. Sebastian's right."
Your character may suggest using Imperio on Ominis. You can either:
"Never mind."
"Yes. That is precisely what I'm suggesting."
Ultimately, Ominis lets you and Sebastian leave with the relic.
Defend Feldcroft
Back in Feldcroft, the village is under attack. Fight off the enemies to save the town.
Post-Battle Talk with Sebastian
After the fight, talk to Sebastian. Choose:
"You did the right thing."
"It may have been the wrong choice."
Talk to Solomon Sallow
Sebastian’s uncle is furious and condemns the use of Dark Magic.
Choose:
"Sebastian saved his sister."
"Sebastian went too far."
Regardless of your choice, Solomon banishes both of you from Feldcroft and warns that any further Dark Magic use will be reported to the school.

Clear the Inferius

Remember: Inferius are vulnerable to fire spells like Incendio, Confringo, or Bombarda. Light sources can also weaken them.
Ominis Departs
After a few fights, Ominis realises Anne is missing and rushes back to Hogwarts to alert the staff
You’ll proceed alone.
Locate Sebastian
Follow the path until you reach a large chasm.
Use Accio + Wingardium Leviosa on bones from nearby graves to construct a bone bridge and cross.
Confront Sebastian
You’ll find Sebastian mid-ritual, claiming he can control the Inferius.
Suddenly, Solomon Sallow appears and destroys the relic, triggering a massive battle.
Boss Fight: Solomon Sallow & Inferius Horde
A chaotic three-way battle ensues. Focus on defeating Solomon while managing waves of Inferius.
Use fire spells liberally and watch for AoE attacks from both sides.
Cutscene: Avada Kedavra
After Solomon is defeated, Sebastian uses Avada Kedavra to kill his uncle.
Anne walks in just after the act, horrified. She destroys the Dark spellbook and leaves with Solomon’s body.
