What Are Demiguise Statues for in Hogwarts Legacy?
As you explore Hogwarts, Hogsmeade, and the vast Highlands, you'll come across locked doors and treasure chests blocking your path. Thatâs where Alohomora comes in! Taught by Hogwartsâ caretaker, Mr. Gladwin Moon, this essential unlocking spell will help you break through barriers. But, to crack higher-level locks, you'll need to collect Demiguise Statues. These eerie little figures, clutching glowing moons, can only be picked up at night.
Turning these statues in to Mr. Moon allows you to upgrade Alohomora:
Find 9 statues to unlock Alohomora II (for level 2 locks).
Find 13 more (22 total) to unlock Alohomora III (for level 3 locks).
Hogwarts Demiguise Statue Locations (10 Total)
You might spot a few Demiguise Statues early on in Hogwarts Legacy, but donât get too excited. Until you learn Alohomora, you wonât be able to collect any of them. The unlocking spell becomes available after completing the Percival Rackhamâs Trial quest (when the season shifts to autumn). Thatâs when Mr. Moon, Hogwartsâ rather jittery caretaker, will pull you aside for a favor and teach you the basics of Alohomora.
During âThe Caretakerâs Lunar Lamentâ, youâll be guided to three Demiguise Statues hidden around Hogwarts. However, unfortunately, these donât count toward your total collection. Youâll only receive one Demiguise Moon from this quest, which youâll turn in to Mr. Moon later as you work toward upgrading Alohomora for even trickier locks. Enough talkingâ letâs get hunting!
Professor Figâs Office (No lock required)
Located in the Defence Against Dark Arts Tower in the Astronomy Wing.
Use the Professor Figâs Floo Flame and enter his office at night.
Found on a desk at the back of the room.
Divination Classroom (No lock required)
Located in the Library Annex.
Enter through the Viaduct Entrance and find the large spiral staircase to the northeast.
Climb to the top and use the trap door ladder.
Found near the back of the room.
Restricted Section of the Library (No lock required)
Located in the Library Annex wing.
Found on the bottom floor of the Restricted Section.
Inside the hallway leading to the storage area past an Eyeball Statue.
Great Hall Room (Level 1 Lock)
Located in the southwest corner of the Great Hall dining room.
Found inside a locked room with a Collection Chest.
South Wing Bathroom (Level 1 Lock)
Located in the Faculty Tower of the South Wing.
Head to the ground floor of Gryffindor Tower and find the locked bathroom.
Open a stall to reveal a crawlspace leading to the boiler room where the statue is hidden.
North Hall Dungeons (Level 1 Lock)
Travel to Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame.
Head south into North Hall and descend into the dungeons.
Find the Muggle Studies Classroom and locate the statue in the corner.
Bell Tower Ramparts (Level 1 Lock)
Located west of the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame.
Look for a locked door under a staircase up the ramparts.
Long Gallery (Level 2 Lock)
Enter through the Bell Tower Courtyard Floo Flame.
Unlock the Level 1 door leading to the Long Gallery.
Inside, find a Level 2 locked door where the statue is located.
Defence Against Dark Arts Tower (Level 2 Lock)
Located at the ground floor entrance of the tower.
Unlock the door near the chatty gargoyle to find the statue inside a storage room.
Beasts Classroom (Level 2 Lock)
Located in Professor Howinâs office near the Beasts Class outdoor shack.
Unlock the house and find the statue on a table in the bedroom.

Located in a backroom of the Hogâs Head Inn.
Found on a stack of crates.
Dervish and Banges (No lock required)
Located on the main counter of Dervish and Banges next to an enchanted smithing hammer.
Three Broomsticks (Level 1 Lock)
Climb to the top floor and unlock a Level 1 door.
Found inside a small bedroom.
Spire Street House (Level 1 Lock)
Located east of the Three Broomsticks on Spire Street.
Unlock the door and find the statue on the upper floor.

Find a large unlocked home on the north side of the hamlet.
Statue is on the floor near the front door.
Aranshire (Level 1 Lock)
Located in Aranshire, east of Hogwarts across the lake.
Found in the northernmost house in the village.
Unlock the door and go to the second floor to find the statue.
Hogsmeade Valley
Upper Hogsfield (Level 1 Lock)
Located in Upper Hogsfield, north of Hogsmeade.
Find a central building on the main road leading to a large structure with barrels inside.
Unlock the door to find the statue near a Collection Chest behind a thin wall.
North Ford Bog
Pitt-Upon-Ford (No lock required)
Located in Pitt-Upon-Ford, north in the North Ford Bog.
Look for a tall house with a red carriage out front.
Enter and climb to the top floor to find the statue next to a bed.
Hogwarts Valley
Brocburrow (No lock required)
Located in Brocburrow, on the eastern side of Hogwarts Valley.
From the Floo Flame, walk west until you reach the Merlin Trial platform.
The statue is inside a small unlocked house, hidden along a floor shelf.
Keenbridge (Level 1 Lock)
Located in Keenbridge, at the center of Hogwarts Valley.
From the Floo Flame, head west past the shopkeeper Fatimah.
Look for a tall house with a pumpkin patch and a large clothesline.
Use Alohomora to unlock the door. The statue is on a table near the stairs.
Feldcroft Region
Irondale (No lock required)
Located in Irondale, southwest of Feldcroft, near a windmill.
Found in the only house between the Floo Flame chimney and the windmill.
Statue is behind a counter on the floor.
Feldcroft Village (Level 2 Lock)
Located in Feldcroft Village, west-central Feldcroft region.
Travel east from the Floo Flame to the house marked with two Collection Chests.
Unlock the door and find the statue on a windowsill near the stairs.
Marunweem Lake
Marunweem Hamlet (No lock required)
Located in Marunweem Hamlet, far south in the region.
From the Floo Flame, head northeast to the quest giver, Marianne Moffett.
Enter the nearby unlocked home; the statue is behind a counter on the first floor.
Manor Cape
Bainburgh (Level 2 Lock)
Located in Bainburgh, a fishing hamlet in Manor Cape.
Travel northeast from the Floo Flame, past shopkeeper Agnes Coffey.
